Bungo Stray Dogs: Dogs and Wild Dogs

Two heroines, paired with Oda Sakunosuke During the Yokohama riots, a legend about a “dog” began circulating from who knows where. No one knew what species, gender, age, or allegiance the legendary “dog” had. Some said it was a hoax, while others believed it was a monster sowing chaos. Sanqing: “Hey, why do people say I’m one of those people who knows the plot? I don’t know anything at all.” Ranpo: “You’re holding the script!” Dostoevsky: “Why do you say that?” Dazai: “Yeah, right. I believe you.” Sanqing: “But you all have powerful people around you. Ranpo has the president, Dazai has Chuuya, Dostoevsky has Nikolai... I’m just a frail little nobody. I can’t even protect myself.” Ranpo: “Hmph! The great Edogawa Ranpo would never help you!” Dazai: “Does anyone actually believe that?” Dostoevsky sidled over with a leisurely smile. “But you have a girlfriend~” Ranpo and Dazai: “What?” Ranpo: “Impossible! The great detective didn’t even notice!” Dazai: “A scumbag like you actually managed to find someone who likes you?” Sanqing: “I date two people a day. How do you know which one I’m dating?” Important: I might not save everyone from their doomed fate. Qing doesn’t have the kindness of Armed Detective Agency Dazai or Yosano, the sense of justice of the president or Oda Sakunosuke, or the goodness of Oda or Chuuya. So she won’t reach out to people who have fallen into the abyss. Don’t assume every story will save people from their doomed fate just because you’ve read one. At least, I won’t.
