Orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine is a discipline that studies the prevention and treatment of injuries and diseases of bones, joints and surrounding muscles. It is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine and one of the core courses of traditional Chinese medicine majors in colleges and universities of traditional Chinese medicine.
According to the basic requirements for the compilation of textbooks in the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for higher education in the national traditional Chinese medicine industry, adhering to the compilation principles of rectifying the source, highlighting the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, strengthening traditional Chinese medicine thinking, and integrating with the standardized training of residents and the qualification examination for practicing physicians, the editorial committee of this textbook determined the syllabus, teaching content and writing style of this course after full discussion, and based on this, this textbook was compiled and published.
The book has 10 chapters in total, divided into two parts: general introduction and individual chapters.
The general introduction introduces the brief history of the development of TCM orthopedics, classification, etiology and pathogenesis, clinical diagnosis, treatment methods and trauma first aid; each treatise separately describes the etiology and pathogenesis, diagnosis and examination points, treatment, prevention and care of common orthopedic diseases such as fractures, dislocations, tendon injuries, internal injuries and bone diseases.
This textbook is a revision based on the previous version of the textbook. Some of the writing styles have been adjusted, some terms have been further standardized, and some teaching content has been appropriately added or deleted.
The purpose of studying this course is to enable students to understand and master the basic theories of orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine and the basic methods of diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases on the basis of studying various basic courses of traditional Chinese medicine, so as to lay a solid foundation for future clinical work in traditional Chinese medicine or orthopedics.
