This book is a "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" textbook for higher education in the Chinese medicine industry across the country, for majors in the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. This textbook is revised based on the first edition of the textbook edited by Professor Shi Yinyu of Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine and the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" textbook. The writing structure follows the first edition. It mainly supplements and summarizes the new theories, new methods and new technologies that have emerged in recent years. It has revised some errors and deficiencies in the original version, and also added some new definitions and diagnostic and treatment methods that have reached consensus and been recognized within the discipline in recent years to meet the needs of medical development. This textbook is jointly written by teachers from more than 20 medical colleges and universities across the country. The content is overlapping, so the relevant content in the book is not signed one by one. The division of labor between the chief editor and deputy editor is as follows: Professor Zhan Hongsheng of Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine serves as the chief editor of the book, and is responsible for drafting and revising the outline and reviewing all manuscripts; Professor Liu Xianxiang of Fujian University of Chinese Medicine and Professor Leng Xiangyang of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine are responsible for editing. Professor Xiong Hui of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is responsible for the drafting of the middle article; Professor Li Huiying of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Professor Li Yikai of Southern Medical University are responsible for the drafting of the next article, and Professor Dong Jian of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University is responsible for the digital textbook project.

I especially like the parts about new theories and new technologies, which I find very enlightening. Moreover, seeing so many teachers from different schools co-writing it, I really admire their professionalism. This reminds me of the time I used to study with my classmates in school, where everyone communicated with each other and made progress together. In short, I think this book is very helpful for learning orthopedic science, and I recommend it to friends who are interested in this field!
