Chen Shou was a famous historian from the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period and the Western Jin Dynasty. In the first year of Taikang, after Jin destroyed Wu and ended the split, Chen Shou finally completed the historical masterpiece "Three Kingdoms" after ten years of hardship. This book completely narrates the historical picture of China's transition from division to reunification in the last hundred years from the end of the Han Dynasty to the beginning of the Jin Dynasty. It is also known as the "First Four Histories" along with "Historical Records", "Han Shu" and "Later Han Shu".
This book mainly tells the life story of Chen Shou and his important contribution to the historical records of Shu Han in writing "Three Kingdoms". I especially like the part about his writing "Three Kingdoms" in the book, and I feel like I have traveled back to that era. This reminds me of "Historical Records", both of which are great historical works. Moreover, I think Chen Shou is a very perseverant person.
