In this book, Cass shows us two types of "games" in life: "finite games" and "infinite games." The goal of a finite game is to win; the goal of an infinite game is to keep the game going forever. Finite games are played within boundaries, infinite games are played within boundaries. Finite games have a definite beginning and end, have a specific winner, and the rules exist to guarantee that the game will end. Infinite games advocate "playing for the sake of playing". Here, the rules must ensure the infinity of the game, so the rules are changeable. Perhaps the most appropriate example is "life".
