After My Wife Cheated

On my birthday, my wife said she had a surprise for me.

“Happy birthday, honey. Congratulations, you’re going to be a father.”

She held up a pregnancy test with two lines, beaming at me.

From then on, I took meticulous care of her and accompanied her to every prenatal checkup, rain or shine.

But after the baby was born, she suddenly broke down.

Because the birth gift I gave the baby was the report showing I’d had a vasectomy years ago for her.
