Siheyuan: I Picked Up a Child from the Start

This book is all about “lighthearted, humorous, and a little edgy.” One winter day in 1950, a young He Yuzhu was walking down the street, pushing his bicycle. The wind bit sharply. He Yuzhu instinctively pulled his collar tighter and quickened his pace home. Just then, faint cries came from a trash can in the distance. “Waaah, waaah...” He Yuzhu frowned at the sound, but stopped his bike and walked over anyway. “What a lovely little girl.” He looked into the middle of the rubbish pile and saw a baby girl in a swaddling blanket, her little face deathly pale from the cold. His heart softened, and he reached down to lift her into his arms. “It's so cold out. I wonder who could have been cruel enough to leave her here.” He Yuzhu looked around at the deserted street. “It's almost dark. I'd better take her home for now...” This book tells the ups and downs of Love in the Courtyard from a third-person perspective. He Nini has transmigrated from the twenty-first century. What changes will this “innocent and kindhearted” girl, who's still just a kid, bring to the courtyard with her special abilities?
