A global fog descends. Monsters and zombies run rampant, and people awaken supernatural powers.
After Jiang Xin acquires a parasitic god, he goes on a retaliatory sweep, taking all the supplies from the End-Sun Country and the Rice-Li Country. Then, after his wife’s betrayal leaves him with no will to survive, he openly murders someone and is forced to flee, throwing himself into the frozen lake at Haizi Mountain. The parasitic god chooses Shi Li as its new host.
A few days before the fog arrives, Shi Li acquires a stash containing 3.5 trillion worth of supplies. Just as he becomes rich, the apocalypse begins, forcing him to embark on a fight for survival.
After the apocalypse begins, Shi Li does everything he can to protect his classmates, barely coping with both the monsters and the students. Just as he is trying to figure out how to get rid of those deadweights, the country announces that the apocalypse has arrived, and his classmates all head home.
As more and more people awaken beneath the thick fog, Shi Li is ultimately thrust onto an altar and drawn into a supernatural showdown.
Only at the end does he discover that the entire apocalypse is a cleansing of Earth carried out by the gods. To survive, he has no choice but to struggle to preserve a sliver of hope in the gods’ arena.
