Xuantian God's Enlightenment Record

There are eight volumes of "Xuan Tian Sheng Sheng Lu". The author and the year of revision are not mentioned in the original book. Various documents from later generations have different opinions on this. Zhu Shijia's "Comprehensive Records of Chinese Series" states that this book was written by a person from the Song Dynasty. Ren Jiyu's "Tao Zang Synopsis" believes that "the book's notes quote Liu Daoming's "Wudang Zongzhenji", which means that the book was compiled at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty." When exactly "The Book of Enlightenment" was written, let us seek the answer from the work itself. In the "Zixiao Yuandao" section of Volume 1 of "Qi Sheng Lu", it is recorded that Zixiao Rock in Mount Taihe was "the place where Emperor Xuan attained enlightenment, and today it is the Yizhen Qing Palace." Therefore, it was written after the completion of Tianyi Zhenqing Palace. According to relevant literature records: Tianyi Zhenqing Palace was built in the 22nd year of Zhiyuan (1285). It was first named "Taihe Zixiao" and later changed to "Tianyi Zhenqing Palace". In the second year of Emperor Qing's reign (1313), Renzong bestowed upon the palace the name "Tianyi Zhenqing Wanshou Palace". In the tenth month of winter in the first year of Yanyou (1314), the palace was given the title of "Da Tian Yizhen Qing Wanshou Palace".
