I have looked for a lot of books about introducing Taoism, and many of them avoid talking about Zhang Jiao in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, or mention it in a few words. This book not only provides a detailed introduction to the development of Taoism, but also combines modern thoughts with a rational interpretation of religious superstition. It's a pity that there are not many people with Taoyuan.
