Xueyiji

A collection of poems and essays. Written by Liu Xi in the Northern Song Dynasty. Eight volumes. He was born in Dongguang (now part of Hebei Province), with the courtesy name Si Li and his Zhai name Xueyi. Beloved son. He became a Jinshi in the second year of Yuanfeng. He once knew Pengze, Guancheng and Qishui. At the end of Zhenghe, he died in the imperial court. There is a twenty-volume collection, which was not handed down for a long time. The Qing people compiled it from the "Yongle Dadian" and compiled it into a compilation. There are four volumes of poems and one poem; there are forty-six ancient poems in five characters and ten in seven characters; forty-five five-character rhymed poems and three versed poems; thirty-four seven-character rhymed poems; eighteen quatrains in five characters and sixty-three seven-character poems, totaling 220 poems. There are four volumes of articles, including eighty-seven articles such as tables, policy questions, introductions, letters, prefaces, notes, tablets, praises, inscriptions and postscripts, epitaphs, deeds, and memorial articles. The ancient prose written by him is simple and vigorous and has legal standards. Lu Zuqian was ordered to compile the "Song Wenjian" and adopted many of his articles. Most of the poems are written in Huang Tingjian style. "Qing Huai": "As a guest, everything must be in harmony. The mountains are not as green as the spring grass, and the sound is accompanied by the crows of night birds. Who can keep track of the bustling officialdom, and the bookkeepers are all confused. I am happy that the official is light and has nothing to do, so he might as well sleep well after the morning chicken." He often harbors worries and resentments, and talks a lot of sadness and anger. Lu Benzhong's "Ziwei Shihua" commends him for his work as a scribe, making him an outstanding author in the late Northern Song Dynasty. There are "Sikuquanshu", "Jifu Series", "Qingfentang Series" and "Congshu Collection Preliminary Edition" printing "Wuyingdian Collection Edition". In 1983, Zhonghua Book Company's "Si Ku Ji Ben Bie Ji Supplement" contains five Supplements from "Xue Yi Ji".
