Huang Yan’s Marriage

[Pressure to Marry - Romance - Family - Tragic Ending - Love - Marriage - Generation Gap - Wife]

When I realized how many people believed that getting married and having children was an obligation, love suddenly seemed so insignificant. Huang Yan, the protagonist, lived in just such an environment. He fell in love with Shi Nan, but her poor background and the fact that she could not have children displeased both their families. Raised under the influence of his family, he had no room to resist, so he decided to break up with Shi Nan and get to know Li Qian, a woman he met through a matchmaking arrangement.

On the day Huang Yan and Li Qian were married, an unexpected turn of events shattered their peaceful lives. Shi Nan lost a leg in a car accident, making Huang Yan realize that he could not live without her. However, his parents demanded that he and Li Qian have a child before deciding whether to divorce. The responsibility and pressure left Huang Yan in agony. He did not want to fake love just to meet his family's expectations, and he especially did not want his future child to have a father who had deceived their biological mother. In the end, Huang Yan decided to divorce and seek true love.
