Puji Fang·acupuncture

"Puji Fang" is a large-scale traditional Chinese medicine work compiled by Zhu Musu, King of Zhou Ding and others in the Ming Dynasty. The original book had 168 volumes, which was later compiled into 426 volumes by Sikuquanshu in the early Qing Dynasty, including 16 volumes on acupuncture (volumes 409-424). Because it was preceded by similar medical works such as "Qianjin" and "Shenghui", and later by "Dacheng" and other acupuncture monographs, and it is a collection of medical works, its acupuncture content has not been paid attention to by people for many years. In fact, the acupuncture content in "Puji Fang" is extremely rich and covers a wide range of areas, including most of the acupuncture content before the Ming Dynasty. It exceeds similar medical works in terms of volume and content, and is comparable to acupuncture monographs. The acupuncture content of the book is divided into two parts. The first eight volumes are about the theory of acupuncture, which first contains prefaces and poems from medical works of the past dynasties, followed by detailed discussions on the meridians, nine needles, acupoint selection, tonic and diarrhea, moxibustion, qi and blood flow, acupuncture and many other contents in acupuncture. Finally, there is the content of meridians and acupoints. The last eight volumes are about acupuncture treatment, which describe the acupuncture treatment of 207 kinds of diseases.
