He immediately struck what he thought was a handsome pose, chin slightly raised and eyes pretending to be deep. “A Chen, how do I look?”
Bei Chen glanced up at him casually and bluntly replied, “Way too pretentious.”
He quickly adjusted his pose, crossing his arms and curling his lips into a smile. “What about this?”
Bei Chen took another look. “Too flashy.”
He tried another pose, leaning forward slightly. “How about this?”
“Awkward.” Bei Chen didn’t even look up as he continued to shoot him down, his pen racing across the page.
He gritted his teeth and changed his pose again.
“Dorky.”
He instantly puffed up like an angry pufferfish. Was there not one nice thing he could say? His enthusiasm was snuffed out in a flash, and he simply gave up and slumped there in defeat!
Bei Chen secretly curled his lips into a smile, the tip of his pen dancing across the paper as if trying to capture this amusing scene forever.
He shouted in a huff, “I’m done posing.”
He was done! Bei Chen was obviously doing this just to get at him!
But Bei Chen chuckled softly, his laugh as pleasant as a clear stream in the mountains. “Be good and hold still.”
Bei Chen’s voice was gentle, yet carried a hint of irresistible authority.
It didn’t actually matter whether he posed or what pose he struck. They had spent so much time together that every smile, every gesture, every little movement of his was already etched into Bei Chen’s mind. He could draw him in any pose with his eyes closed.
Let’s say this three times: this is a sweet, indulgent romance. The male lead can communicate. When he loves someone, he shows it; when there’s a misunderstanding, he explains. He won’t leave it unresolved until next year.
