The Idol's Rise to Movie Stardom

[Male-male romance, younger love interest, rekindled romance, showbiz, both are each other’s first] [All-around heartthrob idol x sweet-talking, flirtatious scholar-actor] When they met again, Gu Xiao was impeccably dressed, holding his Best Actor trophy, while Lin Qiao had just released a single and was shining onstage. They had collaborated a few times, then ended their CP promotion as soon as it was over. At the same event, they could barely be bothered to look at each other, leaving their CP fans heartbroken. In outsiders’ eyes, the two had a strained relationship and were bound together only by mutual interest. Then one day, the media suddenly broke a shocking headline: Breaking! Gu Xiao and Lin Qiao are dating! Gu Xiao’s fans denied it: Please stop clinging to him, you talentless idol. Lin Qiao’s fans denied it: Please don’t drag him into this, you nepotism hire. CP fans denied it: It’s fake. They’re just promoting together. Lin Qiao denied it: We’re just neighbors. Gu Xiao denied it: We used to be neighbors. Content warnings: amateur writing, includes a secondary couple, and features plenty of scenes with Lin Qiao’s bandmates. One-on-one romance, no real-life models, please don’t project the characters onto real people. Setting: 2033
