This book reminds me of my grandfather, who once participated in the Battle of Hainan Island. I was deeply in awe of the difficulties described in the book and the tenacity of the soldiers. Especially when I saw the sea-crossing advance battalion's successful landing on the island and the bloody battle of the Qiongya column, I could feel their tremendous efforts to realize their dreams. This book is not only a record of history, but also a tribute to those who struggled for their ideals.
