It turns out that the legacy of the Mongol Empire has influenced the later Ming and Qing Empires. Moreover, the book also mentioned some historical perspectives that I didn't know before, which gave me a new understanding of that period of history. However, I kind of disliked some of the characters in the book, such as the brutal rulers, whose behavior was really infuriating. But it also makes me cherish my current peaceful life even more. All in all, this is a book worth reading.
