The Long Road Through Officialdom

The road through public office is long and full of temptations: power, money, and beauty. As Li Dongze serves in government, he sees more and more officials fall in their pursuit of these three things. Li Dongze believes that in modern government, a good official must fulfill their duties conscientiously, neither letting the pursuit of personal gain lead to an abuse of power nor allowing excessive caution to result in a failure to exercise it. This is the story of a young man from the countryside, burning with passion and a sincere desire to do something real for the people.
