(Also known as Rouge Scorches; told from the female lead's perspective, with simple prose)
A fictional setting, two strong leads, childhood sweethearts, revenge, and political intrigue
The female lead is a seemingly sweet but secretly ruthless young lady; the male lead is a ruthless eldest prince.
Three years ago.
The entire Shen family was massacred in Chang'an. Only the eldest daughter, Shen Zheng, escaped. With the help of the third prince, Yuwen Cong, she fled and spent her days and nights mastering martial arts.
Three years later.
She returned to Chang'an.
All she had left was revenge.
Standing in her way was the eldest prince, Yuwen Huang, her childhood sweetheart, former betrothed, and the man who had once saved her.
Worse still, he remembered her and had been searching for her all along.
She said she wanted revenge; he said he remembered promising her a peaceful and prosperous age.
And then the story began...
