Cool, reserved ophthalmologist × goofy, devoted police detective
While Xu Qingyan was trying on her wedding dress, her fiancé was in a car with another woman. They were in an accident.
When she went to the hospital, she discovered that the woman looked almost exactly like her.
She understood: she had only ever been a substitute.
She promptly broke off the engagement with that scumbag. She had no intention of being anyone's replacement!
Later, she finally met a man who loved her with all his heart.
He was shamelessly thick-skinned, but a wonderful cook, and he won Xu Qingyan over through her stomach first.
In time, Xu Qingyan came to see his good qualities and realized she could rely on him.
Hand in hand, they walked together through the long years.
