The Dao Rises Amid the Dust and Smoke

[Cultivation] [The Ethereal System]

Is there an end to the Dao? That is not the right question.

The real question is: Is there an end to the human heart?

The answer is no!

We are all ordinary people walking a road without end.

Yet even amid the dust and smoke of the mundane, we can find traces of the Dao!

A dazzling city of nightlife, extraordinary abilities.

A bizarre and wondrous world, brilliant magical arts.

Is it all about grudges, love, and hatred? No!

It is simply that the human heart is as vast as the sea, its depths impossible to fathom.

Drifting along the rivers and lakes, gazing at the distant mountains, you might think:

Blue mountains, distant and dark, seem to furrow their brows; painted waters and rivers stretch clear between us.

Amid the mortal world, playing at life, you might think:

One lifetime in the mortal world, one lifetime as an immortal; half a life bound to the world, half a life of compassion.

So, fellow Daoist, why not slow your pace and take in the sights as you go?
