Tang poetry is the peak in the history of Chinese classical poetry. "Three Hundred Tang Poems" compiled by Qing Dynasty Sun Zhu (a retired scholar from Hengtang) is the most widely circulated anthology of Tang poetry, containing a total of 310 poems by 77 poets. It is the best introductory book for the public to get in touch with Chinese classical poetry. The annotations in this book avoid cumbersome and long citations, making it more suitable for public reading.
