A Taste of Pleasure

[Not mutually chaste] [Showbiz] [Criminal investigation]

Lin Huan, a big star once caught up in a scandal, was blacklisted by her company. Just when she finally manages to make a comeback, she becomes entangled in a murder case. The victim is none other than the ex-boyfriend who caused her scandal in the first place. What is the truth? Did Lin Huan take revenge, or is there more to the story?

This novel includes some criminal investigations, but not much. Since the male lead is a police officer, a few cases arise as he and the heroine spend time together, and there are some scenes involving solving crimes. Please keep that in mind as you read.

Lin Huan once met someone at the lowest point of her life.

Later, she realized that all her misfortune had led her to someone with whom she could spend the rest of her life.

Suddenly, she no longer felt so resentful.

“Cool, glamorous actress x upright police officer”

A story of love and redemption.

“I may be a mess, but my love shines bright.”

PS: The heroine and male lead don't interact much at first, and much of the early story focuses on her. Her previous relationship put her through some painful experiences, making it hard for her to fall in love easily. The male lead has never been in a relationship. Although he knows he treats her differently from everyone else, he doesn't think he likes her, so he won't confess or pursue her. Later, the heroine realizes how she feels and starts pursuing him. The story unfolds gradually, like warm water slowly bringing a frog to a boil, with plenty of plot.
