The Useless Taoist Who Gets His Fortune-Telling Backwards

【Unreliable Taoist bottom × skeptical CEO top】 【Two male leads + unconventional ghost-hunting + sweet romance + devoted to each other + a change of heart】 Mu Xiaocheng is a Taoist priest, or, to be precise, not a very orthodox one. That’s because his unreliable master lazily tossed him from one fellow practitioner to another. He’s stayed in Taoist temples and Buddhist monasteries, and even sat in on lectures with university professors. You could say he grew up eating at everyone’s table. Thanks to his exceptional ability to learn, he became an unlicensed Taoist priest who can recite sutras, draw talismans, and even use a bit of technology. But he has one fatal flaw: his fortune-telling is spectacularly inaccurate. So when his unreliable master decided he was eating too much and abandoned him at the foot of the mountain under the pretense of going on a pilgrimage, Mu Xiaocheng couldn’t make a living by telling fortunes. To keep himself fed, he opened an online shop for driving away evil spirits, where he waits for fate to send him customers. Then he meets Gu Xiang, a staunch materialist. Gu Xiang’s forehead is dark, and he’s about to die, yet he refuses to believe in anything supernatural. To save his life, Mu Xiaocheng embarks on the one-way road of developing scientific products to drive away evil spirits. Mu Xiaocheng: “Sir, I can see that your forehead is dark. You may be in for a bloody disaster. As it happens, I have a family heirloom talisman to ward off misfortune. Not 998, not 98, just 9.8, with free shipping. Order now!” Gu Xiang: “You dare try to scam me? I’ll make sure you’re the one facing a bloody disaster in the next second.” Mu Xiaocheng: “I’m not scamming you. Look at that white bedsheet floating beside you.” Gu Xiang: “Hah, a group scam. Secretary, report him.”
