Water Margin (Classic Translation)

"Water Margin" specifically and vividly describes the story of a group of civilians, middle- and lower-level squires, bureaucrats, and military officers during the Northern Song Dynasty who rose up to resist and went to Liangshan to gather for righteousness because they could not bear the exploitation and oppression of the government and the court. It exposed the darkness and decadence of feudal society and the evils of the ruling class, enthusiastically praised the resistance spirit and righteous actions of the uprising heroes, created a glorious image of a large number of Liangshan heroes, and vividly revealed the objective truth of "officials forcing the people to rebel" in feudal society and the internal reasons for the failure of the peasant uprising.
