The King Insists on Finding Out Whether I'm Male or Female

Yao Zhijin is a young marquis who disguises herself as a man. To protect her secret identity, she goes around causing trouble under the name of the capital’s number-one wastrel. Who could have guessed she’d run into the arrogant hostage prince of Southern Tang, the fierce and ruthless Wolf King of Northern Mo, and the wicked, tyrannical King of Xiliang… Each one is more cunning and troublesome than the last, and every one of them wants her dead. Fortunately, she has the peerless new ruler of Yan, a ruler loyal to her and carefully cultivated by her. Dealing with these men of wolfish ambition should be a piece of cake. Everyone says a ruler’s intentions are impossible to read, but Yao Zhijin refuses to believe it. She is determined to create a story of ruler and subject united in heart. Instead, the new emperor listens to slander and insists on stripping her himself to silence the rumors. What a load of nonsense. So much for trust!
