A Deafening Crush on You

A secret crush is when you can be only three feet away from someone and still not dare to look up at him. Shi Ye, at the top of the social food chain in everyone’s eyes, kept a gentle, kind-hearted girl in his heart... The young girl stood beneath an ancient tree, sunlight filtering through the leaves to fall across her fair, gentle face. She was as beautiful as a scene from a dream. One glance was all it took for him to remember her for a lifetime. Shen Xingyuan, at the very bottom of the social food chain, was invisible in class. If not for her consistently placing second in the entire grade, which briefly drew everyone’s attention, she would have been almost entirely unnoticed. Yet this humble, invisible girl secretly admired the dazzling boy. Seeing their names side by side on the grade rankings made her both happy and sad. Perhaps it was the only chance she had to be close to him. Shen Xingyuan thought she would keep these feelings hidden in her heart forever, but she never expected... The boy deliberately started getting close to her, giving her one percent of the courage she needed to approach him first. Shi Ye gazed gently yet firmly at the girl, whose eyes were rimmed with red. “Even if you don’t take a single step, I’ll keep coming closer to you. Now that I’ve set my sights on you, don’t even think about getting away...” Shen Xingyuan was so moved that tears streamed down her face. She had thought he was a secret she could never speak aloud, never expecting him to come closer of his own accord... Though tears were streaming down her cheeks, the girl smiled sweetly and happily. “Thank you for accepting all my flaws and giving me courage...” He was her salvation, and she was the one tender spot in his heart... (A mutual secret crush, and both leads speak their minds.) (The heroine is insecure and socially anxious, but not weak. The hero will help her grow stronger, more cheerful, and more confident, step by step...)
