Love After Marriage: Mr. Ji's Slow Surrender

Marriage first, love later / Both fall for each other / Mutual salvation / Contract marriage / Sweet with a touch of angst / HE None of the characters are perfect; they grow over the course of the story. Influenced by his family, he doesn’t believe in love, much less in a marriage that lasts forever. To Ji Yuchen, marriage is an abyss he has no desire to fall into. But after an accident brings him and her together, they rush into marriage to deal with their families. Before the wedding, they lay down three rules: talk about money, never say “love,” and get divorced after one year. They assume they’ll make it through the year in peace, but before long, they both find themselves falling for each other in spite of themselves. So they amend the contract: feelings are allowed, but no kissing or sleeping together. They’ll still divorce when the year is up, with no interference in each other’s lives. But when Ye Xun brings up divorce, Ji Yuchen clings to her and refuses to let her leave. Ji Yuchen: “What divorce? I never said that. Honey, come here and cuddle with me~” Ye Xun: “Ji Yuchen, don’t you care about keeping your word?” Ji Yuchen: “Keeping my word? Between you and my word, I’ll choose you, of course!” - The abyss is bottomless, but I’m willing to lose myself in it, because you’re there. I used to believe in neither love nor marriage. But because it’s you, I want to believe. I’m willing to give it a try, because I want to spend my whole life with you. Ye Xun, the abyss you’re in is not barren. There, I’ve seen the most beautiful scenery. Ji Yuchen, you’re the one who made me believe that love can last forever.
