The Chessmaster Within

Heaven and earth are a chessboard, and all living beings are pieces. Those who appear to play the game are, in truth, part of it. One may be a piece on the board, yet also a player. Within the game, one becomes the player; the player steps into the game. The world is in turmoil, and evil takes root on earth. A hundred deaths for one chance at life; a thousand lives swallowed by countless deaths. Do not say the heavens are good; seek peace below. Even spectators cannot escape, and the woodcutter returns to find all his kin gone. The universe returns to chaos, and all things merge together. Who drew the Chu River, and where did the Han boundary come from? If black and white remain unclear, how can we tell the generals apart? The cycle of reincarnation repeats endlessly, again and again. In the end, heaven and earth fall apart, and all comes to nothing. The heaven beyond heaven becomes heaven; the earth beneath the earth becomes earth. Rather than repeat it all, I would willingly embrace utter confusion. Heaven and earth have instincts, and those instincts give birth to intelligence. Intelligence gives rise to inner demons, and inner demons bring countless calamities. Intelligence should have suppressed the inner demons, but it was unwilling. Thus the inner demons were born, and they seized the first move. Calamities should have flourished, yet now all is calm. Look back, everyone. Who knows who is who? The things happening in the dark, hidden from the world, are they part of a vast conspiracy, or a concealed salvation? Most of this novel is fictional, so please don't take it seriously.
