Who Is He? [Web Series]

The hit Youku drama of the same name is now airing. Original screenwriters: Wu Di and Li Fang. In the 1980s, in 1988, a series of brutal rapes and murders strikes Ningjiang City. During the manhunt for the serial killer, detective Wei Guoping (played by Zhang Yi) witnesses a fellow officer die, while the killer escapes into the rainy night. The incident becomes an obsession for Wei Guoping. Eight years later, a horrifying dismemberment murder rocks Ningjiang City. By then, Wei Guoping has become a seasoned criminal investigation captain. As he leads his team, they solve a number of related cases, but the dismemberment case remains shrouded in mystery. Many clues also point back to the serial rapes and murders from eight years earlier. The discoveries invigorate Wei Guoping, yet also hinder his later judgments about the case. As criminal investigation expert Wu Ke (played by Shi Liang) bears down on him and the case grows ever more baffling, Deputy Director Gu Weidong (played by Ding Yongdai) has complete faith in Wei Guoping's loyalty and integrity, especially his kindness and sense of duty.
