Li Xiangyi believes he is as good as dead, but never expects to meet someone even more “incorrigible” than himself. If you're hoping for a gripping plot like the original novel and TV series, you may be disappointed. Alas, my imagination and knowledge aren't up to that level. If I let you down, please be understanding. I'll do my best, and you can take it or leave it.) A brief outline: Li Lianhua's little boat is swept ashore by the tide. He is rescued by a mysterious doctor named Ji Xiangxing, who treats him and removes the poison from his body. Ji Xiangxing makes an excuse to take Li Lianhua down the mountain with him, ostensibly to collect a debt, but in truth to help him let go of his desire to die and become someone who has truly made peace with the world. But Ji Xiangxing is a man of ambiguous morals, with an unconventional mind and a talent for acting. He plays everyone like a fiddle. As for how it ends, anything goes. It's not a tragedy or a danmei story, just a freewheeling tale of the martial world. (This is just a trial run. I'm worried I can't write it well, so it may start strong and end abruptly.)
