Northern Barbarian troublemaker vs. Holy Capital's Imperial Tutor
"Scientific seduction × double secret identities × fake relationship turned real × sizzling chemistry"
A lighthearted, witty story with average prose. My logic is the only logic that matters~
Jin Cheng'an was born in the Northern Barbarian lands, the result of her father's dalliance elsewhere. Her mother knew from the beginning that one day she would return to the Holy Capital, so she named her “Jincheng'an,” meaning “return to the capital in peace.”
An illegitimate daughter, she wasn't acknowledged by her father until she came of age. Back in the capital, she struggled to shed her rough, untamed ways, yet longed for the freedom she'd once had. She and the young master of the Pei family's Minister of Revenue pledged themselves to each other, and she thought they would be together for life. But the man proved faithless and cruel, abandoning her after seducing her. For the sake of becoming a legitimate son-in-law, he married into the Jiang family.
Her youthful love and her last lifeline vanished together. Determined to strike back hard, Jin Cheng'an resolved to do whatever it took to become the future matriarch of that heartless man's household. Hearing that the eldest son was head of the Jiang family, she threw caution to the wind and set out to seduce its master.
Just as she was getting hopelessly caught up in his tenderness, her maid rushed over with the news: because of a one-character difference, the man she'd been clinging to every day wasn't the master of the family she thought he was, but Jiang Yan, the Imperial Tutor of the Holy Capital, Jiang Chengyuan!
The plot of the story is good, but I feel that there are too few emotional scenes with the heroine. It ends like this. I haven't seen enough.
Nice short article
