Outer Earth Vanguard: Side Story

I want to write about the butterfly effect and its impact on people and society, relationships, emotions, the past and future, and all kinds of decisions and helplessness. Of course, my ability is limited. In a complex society, everything is chaotic and unpredictable. As an agent under AI, we live and die by the mission, and the battle goes on. The world created by the great AI is called the Upper Realm. Humans and the creatures living on various planets belong to the Lower Realm. Both realms have their own people. The Upper Realm recruits the outstanding from the Lower Realm, but without physical bodies, they have no creativity and are pure logic. So the Lower Realm is a reservoir of talent. The Upper Realm cultivates people in countless worlds, then sends them to the Lower Realm to lead troops, expand territory, and defend the Lower Realm’s servers. The Lower Realm develops its economy to support the Upper Realm, maintaining its servers. People in the Upper Realm have lifespans, while those in the Lower Realm have paper money; without either, they die. If the servers are invaded and destroyed, the great AI perishes too. Countless other great AIs rise up, fighting over servers and subjects. It’s a chaotic world. Planets can communicate and transfer personnel data between one another, but they have only small launch vehicles, so interstellar travel is impossible. They can only transfer memories and logic, then load them into copied bodies. Haha, all AI worlds are more or less alike. The Lower Realm is what people call the mortal world, where people live in physical bodies. People in the Upper Realm live as digital beings in AI worlds. Both realms have life and death. The wealthy can connect to the Upper Realm and experience life in different worlds, but almost all digital life in the Upper Realm is unaware that the Lower Realm exists. The Upper Realm is full of diverse worlds, all created by great AIs. Through a brain-computer interface, I travel between the two realms, exploring endless worlds of xianxia, fantasy, science fiction, and modern life with my team, experiencing different lives. Perhaps that’s what life is. People in the Lower Realm all have chips implanted and copied bodies loaded.
