Master Hongyi: Life Is a Practice

A flower blooms at a thought, and a flower falls at a thought. Let go of one thought and feel completely at ease. Why did Master Hongyi become a monk? Is he tired of the world, or has he experienced life? Many people are confused. During his lifetime, the Master once said, "Do things of the world with the spirit of transcending the world," which can be used as the best explanation for his becoming a monk. When it comes to the reasons for becoming a monk, the master himself once said this: "There are many people speculating on why I became a monk, and there are a lot of controversies. I don't want to tell the world why I became a monk, because everyone has their own principles, interests, methods, methods and understandings of things. These will never be the same. Even if I tell others, they won't understand, so I just don't say it, and others will gradually forget about it. As for my state of mind at the time, I think it was more to pursue a higher and more ideal way to educate myself and the world!" After becoming a monk, the master put aside everything in the world and was willing to live a life of unimaginable poverty and to understand life personally. We often say, it's not that I want to have so many troubles, it's just that there are too many worries and helplessness in life. In fact, there is nothing in life that cannot be let go. It can be as small as a dispute between neighbors or as big as life or death. Whether you let it go or not, the outcome will not change. The only difference is that those who let go gain a sense of relaxation and happiness, while those who cannot let go can only live with baggage all their lives without being happy. So, let the master teach us how to let go!
