Time and space. Do we know who first defined the term “time and space”? What do they have in common? What if time doesn’t exist at all? And if time does exist, could it give rise to paradoxes? Suppose the only difference between places is space, while time unfolds simultaneously. If time cannot run backward, then many theories could hold up. Who decided that humans should be awake by day and asleep by night? Consider the eastern and western halves of the Earth: two people in different places, one experiencing daytime and the other nighttime. The true difference is the change in their spatial environment, not some disorder in time. It makes no sense to say that if the Earth’s rotation reversed, time would start flowing backward.
