In Disguise: A Great Qin Minister Ascends the Throne

He was once a graduate student at a top 985 university. Highly intelligent and emotionally detached… He was known as the “high-collar flower”: refined, aloof, and deeply passionate about history. He especially loved the history of the Qin dynasty, particularly the period when Qin Shi Huang unified the six states. He found the fall of the Qin Empire both tragic and lamentable. Then Ying Zimo transmigrated as Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng’s first son, born to the woman he loved most, but the child had been lost outside the palace. Ying Zimo had transmigrated when he was very young and had grown deeply attached to those around him, but he was bound to a Disguise System. In the year 12 BC, he recruited Zhang Liang, Xiao He, and Han Xin, building up all sorts of forces. This made the emperor of Qin deeply wary of him. Ying Zimo then changed his name to Gui Mo and entered the Qin court, where he was given a modest official post. The Disguise System cast him as a courteous young gentleman, calm and unflappable. He played the part so well that no one could see through him, except Ying Zheng. In Ying Zimo’s eyes, Ying Zheng saw his tightly guarded ambition and decided he liked the young man. Ying Zimo placed Han Xin, Zhang Liang, and others in key government posts, promoting them to high office and so on… Then, in the age of prosperity, Ying Zimo went drinking with Ying Zheng. He got drunk, and his jade pendant slipped into view. Ying Zheng saw it… (It turned out Ying Zheng was a total spoiler… He had only confirmed that his instincts all these years had been right. This child really was his son.)
