A Different Kind of White Moonlight [ABO]

[Old-school domineering CEO melodrama, with a confinement-room plotline, both leads have baggage, forced relationship, AB romance, loose logic and a simple writing style] aba, ABO The recipe: [Indebted family + sick son + broken him] Zhao Cai grew up in Dongzhang Village. When he was ten, a boy one year younger came to stay with the neighbors next door. The boy was handsome and named Xiao Huanyu. He was aloof and arrogant, but Zhao Cai became his friend. The boy stayed with the neighbors for four years, then was taken home after presenting as an S-rank Alpha. Nine years later, Zhao Cai ran into Xiao Huanyu by chance and heard from others that he was Xiao Huanyu's unattainable first love. Everyone knows that the term “first love” suggests someone wonderful, but Zhao Cai is just an ordinary, skinny, dark-skinned, scrawny Beta (not particularly ugly), with legs like yam stalks. He really doesn't seem suited to being called anyone's first love. (The love interest is not right in the head, and the protagonist is hardly any healthier. This is a fictional world with lots of invented elements. If that's not your thing, run.)
