A Love Rewritten by the Southern Wind

This story is adapted from the ATV television drama The Heroine Mu Guiying Breaks the Heavenly Gate Formation: Nanfeng Lian. Some elements are inspired by plots from other TV dramas and novels the author has read.

I’ve thought about this for a long time. What would happen if Pai Feng and Yelü Haonan met when they were both at the height of their confidence and ambition? Would it be more interesting if they met before the emperor took an interest in them?

If Haonan hadn’t met his master at the end, and Pai Feng had been there to comfort and guide him instead, would he have avoided falling into demonic madness? And if he hadn’t, what would their ending have been?
