Five years ago, a game called Earth Online dragged the whole world into a realm of rule-based horror. Unlucky people are constantly snatched away to eerie worlds, where they meet their deaths far from home.
The Joint Government established the Bureau of Paranormal Investigations and poured enormous resources into fighting the eerie world.
Ma Yan, an employee of the Bureau of Paranormal Investigations, is chosen by the rules to become an adventurer. He is about to take on one instance after another, doing his part to defeat the Unspeakable.
Unlike most adventurers, Ma Yan starts out with a Rewind Device, giving him more chances to learn from his mistakes.
As time goes on, it seems that not only the game, but eerie forces as well, are seeping into the real world...
