Lord of the Frontier

In the twentieth year of Tianyou, the imperial house of Great Shang is torn by a struggle for the throne. The princes scheme against one another, the court is in turmoil, and the people suffer one disaster after another, starving until they resort to eating their own children. Meanwhile, the northern steppe tribes are on the verge of unification, eyeing Great Shang hungrily. The people take up arms and shatter the golden age the ministers have long painted for the emperor. Amid this dire crisis, beset by troubles within and threats without, the deposed crown prince Di Jing, banished to the northern frontier, is reborn on the very day he is sent into exile. In this life, instead of competing with the other princes, he quietly builds his strength across the steppe, leaving everyone stunned.
