A Wise Ruler in Troubled Times

While fishing outdoors, fishing enthusiast Xiao Ji unexpectedly was reborn in the Great Liang dynasty, becoming its crown prince, unloved by both his father and mother. At the time, the royal household was torn apart by a struggle for power in the imperial harem. The princes schemed against one another, the court was shrouded in intrigue, and disasters and calamities plagued the people, who were reduced to misery and even forced to eat their own children. In the north, the Qiang and Jie tribes had united across the grasslands, while three southern kingdoms eyed Liang covetously. Facing a dire crisis at home and abroad, Xiao Ji must use nothing but a fishing rod to set things right: eliminate treacherous villains, restore the people’s livelihoods, pacify the north, unite the three kingdoms, and claim supremacy over the Central Plains.
