Thrilling: New Bilingual Version in Chinese and English

I watched the movie twice before reading the novel. The novel has more details than the movie. I really like what Julie's father said, "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" and what Grandpa Bryce said, "Some people live in high-rise buildings, some live in deep ditches. Some are brilliant, and some are covered in rust. There are thousands of people in the world, don't look for them in the clouds. People are like rainbows, and you will know they are there when you meet them." Julie is a very sincere and brave girl. Bryce was timid and fearful at the beginning, but later he dared to face his heart and take action. Things are developing in a good direction, so I think the open ending is also good.

This book reminded me of my childhood. I like the character of Julie, she is independent and sincere. Her feelings for Bryce and their interactions throughout the story are interesting. However, I don't like Bryce very much. He didn't know how to appreciate Julie at first. Some scenes in the book, such as Julie watching the scenery in the tree, and the scene where she and Bryce raise chickens together, made me feel heart-warming. This is a heartwarming book that reminds people of the little things about first love.

I like this narrative perspective, narrated from the perspective of the male and female protagonists respectively. I really fell in love with Julianna, she is really beautiful.
