Beneath Her Robes

【Fictional setting, and a very loose one】+【They save each other】+【Both reborn, the man first and the woman later】+【Lightning-fast face-slapping】+【Both leads speak their minds】+【A little political scheming】+【Sweet romance with no angst, except in the previous-life arc】+【A clever heroine】 In her previous life, all the splendor faded away. He burned himself out, a young man dressed in white with a sword in hand, his blood staining the robes beneath her. In this life, dressed in imperial yellow and radiant as the sun, he kneels before her, one knee on the ground, his eyes filled with tenderness as he gives her his whole life. The male lead seems like a total flirt, but is actually unbelievably shy. The female lead is brave and resourceful, and lowers her guard only around him. Princess Xiange of Ranguo is sent to marry into Yaoguo. On her wedding day, she is switched and sent to the Prince Regent’s residence. Who would have thought the regent would dote on his wife without restraint and be a master flirt? “Wife, ticklish? You’ll have to get used to it.” “I’m going to sew your mouth shut!” “How am I supposed to make my wife happy with my mouth sewn shut?” “I’ll tie your hands and feet!” “So you like that kind of thing?” But as soon as he returns to his study, his face turns red and his heart races. He thinks to himself, I’m really something! Until one day, Xiange’s memories of her previous life return. “You really enjoyed teasing me, didn’t you?” “Your Highness, in this life, I’ll put the imperial robes on you myself...” “Then can I be empress?” The story is all about saving each other. Both leads are strong, and the trust between them is deeply moving. The heroine grows stronger and comes into her own later, becoming an empress. Lots of romance, with a little political scheming. The setting is very loosely constructed, so don’t take it too seriously.
