Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a national treasure of China. It draws on the strengths of various martial arts and uses abdominal breathing, allowing practitioners to work up a sweat without becoming breathless, while moving freely and smoothly. It also incorporates the meridian theory based on yin and yang, becoming an internal martial art that cultivates both the inner and outer self, trains body and mind, and unites intention, breath, and movement. Its movements begin soft and relaxed, developing strength and nourishing qi. They may be slow or fast, with hardness within softness and softness within hardness.
