Little War God Chiyou

“Chi You... Chi You...” As he slept soundly, a faint voice seemed to drift from the heavens and echo in his ears. The boy rose, still half asleep, rubbing his eyes as he looked around. No one was there. But the clear yet distant voice kept calling his name, again and again: “Chi You... Chi You...” The boy glanced at Ji Bainu, sleeping peacefully beside him, apparently unable to hear a thing. He tiptoed carefully over Ji Bainu and stepped outside the thatched hut. All around him was still and cold. The vast starry sky stretched without end, and the boundless earth lay utterly silent. Yet the voice continued to echo in his ears, one call after another. Chi You shook his head and pounded his ears, but the voice would not go away. Terrified, he asked in a trembling whisper, “Who is calling my name?”
