Sang Luo has borderline personality disorder. Naturally sensitive and suspicious, he is also focused and persistent. He spends two years getting close to a girl named Shu Pei, and they begin an online relationship. Just as they are preparing to meet in person, Shu Pei's friend Zhang Liu is hanged inside a building marked for demolition. Strangely, before her death, Zhang Liu deliberately arranged to meet Shu Pei at the scene, and she was wearing a red dress when she was killed. Shu Pei becomes the first witness at the crime scene, and the ghost-hand symbol found beneath Zhang Liu's body is closely connected to Sang Luo. From then on, Shu Pei and Sang Luo are dragged into this bizarre murder case, where they also meet policewoman Han Qingdai. Now a suspect, Sang Luo has no choice but to use the inborn mental disorder he despises to investigate the case. The killer has not stopped, and has instead left a threat of more crimes, determined to wipe out every one of Shu Pei's friends.
