Fear Not, This Humble Monk Is Here to Deliver You to the Afterlife

Scheming × playing the pig to eat the tiger × two male leads × no female lead × saving all living beings A handsome monk who has lived through an unknown number of reincarnations × a little fox who has cultivated for nearly a thousand years but still cannot get the hang of it or maintain human form During the Great Hao era, the world was in chaos. Demons ran rampant, the people suffered, and life was unbearable. The current emperor summoned his civil and military officials to discuss what to do. Someone suggested that Master Shi Hui of Jingtian Temple leave seclusion and save the people. However, many years earlier, Master Shi Hui had fallen out with the current royal family over a blood feud and no longer wished to enter the palace. When the news came out, people were thrown into a panic, and everyone was uneasy. Near Jingtian Temple, dozens of miles away, a strikingly handsome, bald monk in white, with a red cinnabar mark between his brows, was gripping a fox by the scruff of its neck. As the fox cursed up a storm, the monk teased it, threatening to toss it into the pill furnace and burn it to ashes. The fox had cultivated for many years, but aside from being able to talk and occasionally take human form, it was good for nothing. It had come out that day to collect dew like the neighbor’s rabbit sister, hoping to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and become an immortal sooner. Instead, it ran straight into a monk, who grabbed it by its most vulnerable spot. It couldn’t beat him or curse him properly, and was so furious it nearly passed out and died. But, truth be told, this monk really was handsome. This is the story of a monk and a little fox who has yet to become an immortal as they hunt demons and ghosts and save all living beings, finally overcoming many trials and ending up together. In short, it’s a sweet everyday tale of love and rivalry, with plenty of playful bickering.
