A Life of Romantic Encounters

A programmer who's been single since birth suddenly finds himself pursued by beautiful women from all over the world. This isn't a dream. It's Lin Yuan's “life of romantic encounters.” After an accident, Lin Yuan discovers a strange “romance magnetism” around him: any woman whose gaze meets his for more than three seconds can't help but develop a crush on him. At first, he thinks he's losing his mind, until the convenience store cashier gives him fifty yuan too much and her WeChat contact, the icy female executive in his office building invites him to dinner, and even the woman he casually marked “not interested” on a dating site shows up at his door the next day, eyes red as she pleads, “Give us one more chance...” Lin Yuan's contact list grows by hundreds every day. His WeChat inbox is full of unread messages, and his calendar is packed with dates even tighter than his coding deadlines. From an aloof CEO to a gentle teacher, from a spirited policewoman to the sweet girl next door, women of all kinds flood into his life with overwhelming affection. His biggest worry has gone from “How do I find a girlfriend?” to “How do I keep them from fighting?” Romantic encounters become part of everyday life, and his luck with women turns into a curse. Gradually, Lin Yuan realizes that this “romance magnetism” didn't come out of nowhere. It is tied to a sealed family secret and an ancient wager concerning a “romantic tribulation.” As fate, like a System, begins demanding a price, he must find the one answer among countless hearts: the one woman for whom he'd willingly give up every other encounter. Who says every man longs for romantic adventures? With women throwing themselves at him, Lin Yuan can only ask: Can I return them?
