The Myth of Sisyphus

Life has no meaning and no hope. Everything is given by people themselves. Life must have a direction so as not to fall into nothingness. Looking for meaning in absurdity and creating meaning despite knowing it is meaningless is a kind of joy in suffering. Chewing the so-called pain and feeling boring, will it become pessimism or optimism? Who will devour whom? I always feel that this world seems fake. Existence does not mean eternity, existence is just existence. The pursuit of eternal life and eternal love is just an excuse for romanticization.

When facing the world without any meaning, I can answer "What's wrong?", But Camus thought Sisyphus was happy, but I think Sisyphus was probably:? How could I be happy?

Throughout this book there is nothing but the word absurd. Life is absurd, eternity is absurd, religion is absurd, death is absurd. But just because we know that this is an absurd world, we have no reason to leave this absurd world. This is an absurd answer, but just like Sisyphus pushing the boulder, we must pretend that Sisyphus is happy, and he accepts this absurdity while pushing the boulder day after day. Camus used what can be called a pessimistic point of view to illustrate a completely different point of view: enjoy the moment, enjoy happiness, and admit that absurdity is not terrible. On the contrary, recognizing absurdity is the reason for us to live. And this reason is absurd, isn't it?
