The Empress Has Gone Mad: Your Majesty, I’m Here for Revenge

[Both leads are reborn + sweet romance + outwitting a transmigrator]

In her previous life, Jiang Tingyue was mutilated and left to die in the depths of the palace, while her childhood sweetheart and husband made her half-sister his empress.

Reborn, she is determined not only to save her mother, but to make that treacherous pair die without a place to bury them.

But fate is hard to change. By a twist of circumstances, Jiang Tingyue marries that faithless man again. Unwilling to suffer the same tragic fate as before, she stays on guard against Gu Zhaolin at every turn and waits for a chance to assassinate him.

Then Jiang Tingyue realizes that something about Gu Zhaolin seems off.

Jiang Tingyue: Your Highness, which young lady do you think is fit to be the crown prince’s consort?

Gu Zhaolin curls his lip: None of them!

Jiang Tingyue: Your Majesty, which woman would make a suitable noble consort?

Gu Zhaolin pulls Jiang Tingyue into his arms: You’re the only one in my harem.

Gu Zhaolin had loved someone since childhood, but just as he was about to marry her, another soul took over his body.

He could only watch as the woman he loved was humiliated and tormented, then died a miserable death in the palace.

Given another chance at life, he traded all his remaining years for her new beginning, without regret or resentment.

All he asks is that she be safe.

[PS: The female lead’s tragic death in her previous life wasn’t caused by the male lead. It was the transmigrator’s doing.]
